Your first time with us, plan on getting there 5-10 minutes early so we can introduce ourselves (and you can get some food!). We start promptly at 7:30 and go around the room with a short thought question and prayer requests. Once we finish praying, usually by 8:15, we either stay in one group or split in two and discuss our reading. We officially end at 9:30, but most stay a few minutes afterwards.
When this group was started, we were really looking to fill a large gap we saw between "too old/not a part of youth groups" and "too young/not a part of couples groups". A lot of us and our friends were off on their own for awhile and we wanted something to bring many of us together to grow in community and the Word.
All this to say, if you've been missing a group you feel at home with, or even if you DO have a group (and want a backup plan or somethin), we would love to welcome you in!
You do not need to read! Most people, on their first time with us, prefer to sit back and simply listen to the flow of discussion, adding things they think of or asking more questions. This being said, I still highly recommend reading beforehand if it is possible, and writing down questions you have about the text or anything you thought was cool!
We have a core group of about 15 who come every week, but have anywhere up to 30 at once!
Yes. Yes, it is kinda pointless. Look, long story short, I accidentally bought a domain, and I had way too much time on my hands today, so here we are.
